Fans are puzzle elements from both the first game in the Talos Principle series and its sequel. When active, a fan will push objects, including the player, into the air, sometimes across great distances.
Some fans are permanently active; others use a Switch or Pressure plate to control their state. Some fans have removable blades. Fans will not move objects at all if their blades are not in place, but the blades themselves can be used to active pressure plates. Most tools must be placed on top of Hexahedron in order to be propelled properly by a fan, especially vertical or angled fans.
