Radiating Choice is the eighteenth puzzle in Into the Abyss, part of the Road to Elysium expansion for The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

In the main area, two Emitters and two Receivers face each other. The Progress Wheel lies behind a grate controlled by a Switch nearby. Reaching the Switch requires crossing a set of Blue doors and Purple barriers where a second Connector lies.

A basic hint:

Have you noticed that the second Connector is completely surrounded by Purple barriers? That means that it will never receive any laser or connect to any Receiver.

That does not mean it is useless.

Solution

[ solution ]

• 
  Take the Connector and link the blue Emitter to its Receiver.
• 
  Take the second Connector, link it to the blue Emitter and place it down on the left side of the cell, close to the open Blue door.
• 
  Take the first Connector and connect it to all Emitters and Receivers. Place it down in the middle of the room, so that the existing blue beam cuts the red beam coming from the red Emitter.
• 
  Walk into the corridor, link the second Connector to the red Emitter and place it down on the right of the cell.
• 
  Turn on the Switch, opening the grate to the Progress Wheel.
• 
  Place the Connector back into its previous spot: linked to the blue Emitter, on the left side of the cell. Walk out and finish the puzzle.
