Hints

Quick note on the mechanics of a recorder:

[ hint ]
Refresh your knowledge of how Recorders work. When you start recording, you can pick up equipment and get a ghost copy of that equipment, that you can move around, connect to things. Similarly, if a recording is active, the real version of yourself can pick up the equipment, and the ghost version of that thing will remain connected, in its original place.

To get started:

[ hint ]
Figure out how to get past the first blue door.

The second objective:

[ hint ]
Figure out how to obtain the hexahedron

If you're unable to find the right angles through the corridors:

[ hint ]
The corridors are too snaky to connect. Try to find another vantage point.

If you're stuck in the back room:

[ hint ]
There is a ladder. It is worth climbing even if you're not stuck there, because unlike most ladders, it doesn't drop you across the wall.

If you're wondering what to do with the platform:

[ hint ]
I don't know either. I didn't use it.

Solution

A full sequence of steps:

[ hint ]
Objective 1: As a recorded entity connect the blue emitter so that there is a source of light off to the side. Real: connect the blue emitter through the blue door to the two receivers and the ghost connector. Let the ghost expire once the light is self-sustaining. Objective 2: Record yourself for just a moment and do nothing. While the recording is active but paused, grab the connector and head inside. Connect the blue emitter inside using the ghost connector as a light source to open the blue door to the innermost room. Grab the hexahedron from inside. Objective 3: Take the hexahedron close to where the ladder is, near the back. Grab the real connector, place it on the box so that it is reachable from upstairs. Climb the ladder. Using the ghost connector as a light source, connect the final emitter.
