Connecting you to a friend is a private social media entry between Doge (666) and 1k (1000).

• Doge (666): I've relayed your responses to my friends, and they have reached certain conclusions regarding your character. Would you like to hear them?
  • 1k (1000): Yes, go ahead.
    • Doge (666): Now, you're new, so let me fill you in. Your arrival marks the moment of New Jerusalem's maturity, and there are... differences of opinion about what it ought to become.
    • Doge (666): Naturally there are people working quietly behind the scenes, in an... advisory capacity, trying guide our city to prosperity. People who know things which would only scare or confuse the average citizen.
    • Doge (666): I have five such friends who expressed to me their interest in getting to know you.
      • 1k (1000): Who are these people?
        • Doge (666): I can't yet tell you their names, but I can tell you a little about them.
        • Doge (666): The first is an engineer by trade. Tends to see the world as a puzzle to be solved.
        • Doge (666): The second is a scholar of some repute. Thinks the big questions have answers in our code.
        • Doge (666): The third is... well, it's hard to pin down. A practitioner, let's say, of the esoteric arts.
        • Doge (666): The fourth is a member of the political establishment.
        • Doge (666): And the fifth... well, the less I say about them the better for everyone.
        • Doge (666): So, is there someone you think would make a good match?
          • 1k (1000): The engineer.
          • 1k (1000): The scholar.
          • 1k (1000): The one that's hard to pin down.
          • 1k (1000): The establishment figure.
          • 1k (1000): The mysterious fifth person.
            • Doge (666): Ahah! No. That would be a very bad idea, for everyone.
          • 1k (1000): I'd rather hear which is most interested in me.
        • Doge (666): You're strongly attuned to the nature of good and evil, and committed to doing what you believe is right. Your support would mean a great deal to my scholarly friend. He's dedicated his life to the understanding of ethics, and is sure we can flourish under proper moral guidance.
