Puzzle elements

Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a large open area.

  • Directly in front of you is a small pillar with a tiny ledge on top. On both the left and right side of this pillar are two fans. On top of the ledge is an activator.
  • The area to the left has a blue emitter.
  • The area to the right has the progress wheel behind a blue door when you turn around the back. On the front is a small room blocked off by a blue door also, that has two hexahedrons.
  • In the middle of the area, immediately as you enter, is a connector.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Balance, at some point, you will have to think about the way certain things feel exactly balanced, like on a weighing scale.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
The first objective is to obtain the activator.

If you are struggling with angles of the blue laser downstairs:

[ hint ]
You won't be able to activate both fans using just the activator directly from the emitter.

If you are struggling with angles of the blue laser upstairs:

[ hint ]
The connector does not have enough height to connect directly to the emitter while it is sitting on the ledge by itself. But, with a bit more elevation, it can work.

A cheesy idea:

[ hint ]
Note that activators have a slight delay before they push out their activating bubble. It gives you enough time to pick up some equipment.

If you're unable to jump to the upstairs ledge:

[ hint ]
Being on the fan stream isn't enough. You need a hexahedron below you.

If you're unable to pick up items from downstairs:

[ hint ]
See if there are some slabs of concrete nearby that give equipment a bit more height.
