Convolution is a lost puzzle in the Circular Oasis area of The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a large open area. There is a pressure plate blocking off a red emitter to the left, and a tall grate blocking off a blue emitter to the right. There is a concrete pedestal in front of the grate that can be moved higher with a pressure plate in the middle of the room. There is a connector available. There is a red receiver that opens the door to the second room behind.

The second room has another connector available. In addition to the door behind you, there is a window that looks out to the main area. There are two receivers: a blue receiver on the right side that unlocks the door to the third room, and a blue receiver on the left side partially covered by some grates that leads to the progress wheel.

The third room has an accumulator. It also has a window on the right side that looks out into the second room.

The first step is to open the door to the second room. Now start thinking about ways to use the accumulator, even if it appears to be out of reach.

In this entire puzzle, no equipment ever leaves the room it was found in. The first connector, the second connector, and the accumulator: they all spend their entire lives in the very rooms you found them in. Hopefully this helps you figure out what angles are possible for the lasers.

Set up the inner connector to connect to two things. Set up the outer connector on the platform, then move it up. Set up the inner connector to use the inner light source. Jump start it from outside. Relocate the accumulator for a better view.
