There is a Messenger Token in the starting area, up on a pillar, visible to the left as you enter the world.
How to access it:

Start by jumping on one of the shallower lion statues. The game will then make the "jump here" prompts visible to you to parkour across various pillars until you reach the platform on the opposite side. You can then walk over
