Puzzle Elements

Overview

To reach this puzzle, as you walk from Puzzle 3 towards Puzzle 4, take the path to the left. You'll have to walk for quite a bit.

As you enter the puzzle, you see a red emitter in front of you. On both sides are long covered corridors, with grills on one side and blue doors on the ends, which look like jail cells. There is a passageway along the entire length that you can freely walk on. To the right, behind a tall grate is a blue emitter. At the very right end of the puzzle is a fixed connector that is statically linked to a red mover, which is currently inside the first jail cell. The path of the mover cuts across all the cells and turns a bit near the end. Outside, there are two connectors. On the far left, on an elevated platform, the progress wheel can be seen.

Starting from the point closest to the fixed connector, the first jail cell has the aforementioned red mover, and a blue door to the next cell. On the wall just outside is a red receiver.

The second jail cell has a blue receiver inside, and a blue door to the third cell.

The third cell has a pressure plate, and a blue door to the outside, just next to the entryway.

Across the entryway, the fourth cell is a single long passage; it has blue doors on either side. Close to the entryway is a pressure plate, but a section of the grill is missing, so one can freely enter the cell. On the other end is a red receiver, and the grill is only half-height near this section.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Jailbreak, you will have to figure out how to get the mover to exit each of the jail cells, one by one.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
Carefully note the fixed connector on the far end of the puzzle area. Use that connector for the first part of the puzzle

If you're struggling to get the mover out of the third room:

[ hint ]
If you activate the mover immediately, it steps off the pressure plate and the blue door activates, which prevents the mover from moving. How can you keep the pressure plate active?

If you've brought the mover to the left jail cell, but can't find a good angle for the mover:

[ hint ]
Think about the left section, where there was a fixed connector providing energy to the mover. That fixed connector is not available anymore, but is there an equivalent replacement now?

If you're mourning the loss of some equipment:

[ hint ]
If you think that you had to sacrifice one of your connectors on the pressure plate on the third room, don't worry. It can still be useful from there
