Overview

On entering the puzzle, we see a beautiful relief sculpture on the facing wall. There are two connectors, a red and a blue energy source, each shielded by the architecture of the puzzle, and several receivers. The progress wheel is upstairs, but the path is blocked by three plasma doors.

Since the name of the puzzle is Thrust Vector, at some point the moving platform will need to thrust something into a different place.

If you're struggling to get started:

The first thing to do is to try to get one connector upstairs. Since you cannot hold on to equipment when using ladders, you will need to configure the room some way to allow that to happen

If you are struggling to get the right angle:

It is possible, and likely intended, that you connect the red emitter to the outermost red receiver using a connector upstairs. If you're worried that the connector will drop if you keep it too close to the ledge, don't be. The game shows you a preview of where the connector will land when you place it, and usually don't fall.

If you opened two doors and can't get to the third:

You're opening the second door too soon. The only way to get the blue receiver activated is from downstairs, so this means there must be a connector downstairs.

If you read the previous hint and you still need a bit more:

The downstairs connector has to pull double duty. The only way to time it right is to set it up properly in a deactivated state, and then activate it from upstairs when you're ready.

Story

Upon completion of the puzzle, the player hears another message from Cornelius Noema Messages. That is, if this is the ninth gold puzzle that the player solved, they will hear the ninth message.
