The Other is the second puzzle in Into the Abyss, part of the Road to Elysium expansion for The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

The puzzle is composed of a main area with a blue Emitter and two Inverters, and a corridor where four Blue doors block the way to the Progress Wheel. A Connector is located between the third and fourth doors.

If you have trouble getting started:

There is a Connector that can be accessed by opening the first three doors. Retrieving it should be the first order of business.

An intermediate hint:

The alternating colors on the Receivers means it is impossible to open all the Blue doors at once. You will need to step onto the raised platform and open the last two doors from there.

If you stuck because one of the Inverters won't change colors:

Connecting an Inverter to the Emitter directly will "lock" the color it emits, so it probably is a bad idea.

Solution

• 
  Take an Inverter, connect to the Emitter and both red Receivers.
• 
  Take the other Inverter, connect it to the red Inverter and the first blue Receiver.
• 
  Retrieve the Connector, connect it to the Emitter and place it down on the raised platform.
• 
  Take the first Inverter, and use it to link the Connector to the first, third and fourth Receivers.
• 
  Take the second Inverter and connect it to the other Inverter as well as the second and third Receivers.
• 
  Take the Connector and link the Emitter to the second Inverter. This inverses the color of all the beams, opening the two final Blue doors and finishing the puzzle.
