Absorption is the first main puzzle in the Flooded Valley area of The Talos Principle 2.
Puzzle elements
Overview
As you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in a long winding room that curves around clockwise. In front of you is a red emitter, and an accumulator is visible just ahead. Further in the room, there is a red receiver next to a blue door leading to a second room. Inside this room is another accumulator, a blue emitter and a pair of receivers, one each in blue and red. The progress wheel is visible just behind a blue door.

This puzzle teaches you about Accumulators. Take your time learning their properties.
The rules of accumulators:

If you connect an accumulator to an energy source, it takes a couple of seconds to charge itself by maintaining the beam, and then the beam disconnects. Now the accumulator can be used as a source of light of that color. Accumulators can charge other accumulators. Using the alternate button for an accumulator allows you to discharge it and then you can charge it to some other color.
