Duet is the fifth main puzzle in the Wooded Plateau area of The Talos Principle 2.

Overview

The central area of this puzzle is large. To the left there are three rooms, and to the right there are two rooms. In the main area, there is a fan that leads to the first right room, which has a jammer, a switch for the fan outside, and a blue door, and a ladder that leads back outside. The second right room shares a copper wall with the first, and a purple barrier leads back outside. Back on the left side, a purple barrier leads to the first room, where we see a driller. There is a blue door to the second room with yet another driller in it. A pressure plate outside leads to the third left room, which eventually leads to the progress wheel behind a blue door.

Since the name of the puzzle is Duet, throughout the puzzle there will be a partnership between the drillers and the jammer.

The first task is to turn the fan on. You don't need to enter the room to do that.

The second thing to do is to get both drillers out in the open

If you can't find useful work for the jammer:

Notice that there is a ladder that brings out of the first left room. The jammer does not need to open the blue door to that room, it is best used elsewhere. Remember that jammers can work through driller holes and through purple walls.

Solution

• 
  Take the Driller and drill the wall next to the Switch, through the window.
• 
  Turn on the Fan with the Switch.
• 
  Take the Driller and drill the wall next to the second Driller.
• 
  Use the Fan to jump into the cell.
• 
  Take the Jammer and jam the door through the Driller's hole.
• 
  Take the second Driller and place it on the other side of the wall.
• 
  Walk around, and use the second Driller on the same hole as the first.
• 
  Take the first Driller and place it through the wall.
• 
  Take one of the Drillers and place it on the Pressure Plate.
• 
  Take the other Driller and drill the wall by the Jammer.
• 
  Fly in with the Fan, and place the Jammer on the other side of the wall.
• 
  Take the Driller again and drill the wall by the Progress Wheel.
• 
  Jam the final door through the hole.
