Overview

When you enter the puzzle, you find yourself in the main area.

  • In the main area, there is a blue emitter and a blue activator on the front right.
  • In the middle, there is a room that is blocked off by a small grate door on the right side, and a fixed large grate wall on the left side. Inside the room is another blue activator.
  • To the left, behind another grate door is a small room with another activator in it.
  • To the left, near the back, is another grate door that is blocking access to the progress wheel.

Hints

A basic hint:

[ hint ]
Since the name of the puzzle is Chain Reaction, you have to think about creating a chain of equipment that triggers from one end to the other.

If you're struggling to get started:

[ hint ]
Note that some grates open, and some are fixed closed. Experiment with the activators to see which ones open.

If you're confused about the rules of activators:

[ hint ]
An activator connected to a blue laser provides a bubble. Any other activators within that bubble get activated also and provide bubbles of their own. Bubbles can pass through most types of barriers.

If you're struggling with the angles at the end:

[ hint ]
You can hold the door open with an activator outside, then hold the door open with another activator inside. This allows you to free up the first activator.

Alternate solution:

[ hint ]
You can have an activator outside that holds the door open. There is a very small angle at which you can place a second activator that directly feeds from the emitter, and is close enough to the wall that the third activator can be inside its bubble and open the progress wheel grate.
