'''Clones''' are exact copies of [[1k (1000)|1k]] found in certain puzzles in [[The Talos Principle 2]]. They were created by Athena's Machine but are physically indistinguishable from the original 1k. When highlighted, the player can "take control" of the clone, apparently transferring 1k's mind to the other body. This leaves the previous body inert, exactly as the clones first appear.

A vacated or newly-controlled body will still hold any object it was previously holding. A vacant clone holding a [[platform]] will lift that platform into the air, allowing the active clone to stand on top of it. The player can move between two bodies that are directly above or below a platform without dropping said platform.

Despite the philosophic implications, the game does not register any difference based on whether a player leaves a puzzle in the same body they entered it in.
